The Social Phobia Inventory (SPIN) is a widely used questionnaire for assessing the severity of social anxiety disorder (social phobia). The test focuses on fear of being judged by others and avoidance of social situations, as well as the related physiological symptoms of anxiety, such as blushing, sweating, and trembling in the presence of other people.
The test is designed for self-administration and allows for an approximate assessment of the severity of social anxiety symptoms over the past week. It can be used repeatedly to track changes over time. The test result is not a medical diagnosis and does not replace consultation with a specialist.
If, besides social anxiety, you are also troubled by low mood or a loss of interest in things you used to enjoy, a depression test may also help you.
