The Family Anxiety Analysis questionnaire (ACT) by E. G. Eidemiller and V. V. Justitskis is designed to assess a person's anxious experiences related to family relationships and the family situation. The method evaluates three components of family anxiety: family guilt, family anxiety, and family tension.
The questionnaire contains 21 statements concerning a person's feelings and experiences within the family sphere. For each statement, choose the answer that best fits: "Yes", "No", or "Don't know". The result shows the severity of the individual components of family anxiety and the overall level of family anxiety.
ACT is intended for self-assessment and is not a medical diagnosis. The result should be regarded as an approximate estimate of subjective experiences related to the family situation, not as an independent basis for establishing a psychiatric or other medical diagnosis.
If you are troubled by anxiety not primarily related to family relationships, you may also take the GAD-7 test or the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI). For pronounced anxiety symptoms, panic attacks, or obsessions, the specialized anxiety disorder tests may be helpful.
